Artist's Comments

This is a pen and ink drawing done with micron archival ink pens on bristol. Penciled first, this image took close to 12 hours to ink. In an attempt to emulate Franklin Booth's illustration style, there's almost absolutely no cross hatching in this image, all value based entirely on line weight, direction and open space.

Outstanding work. Powerful in its gravity and texture. Nice job at lightening the ink depth to aid in perspective. It is a very effective piece.
